I <3 Podcasts

About a year ago I started consuming podcasts on a regular basis and have absolutely fell in love with this awesomesauce medium.

There are so many topics out there to choose from. I learn SO MUCH from my podcasts of choice, both in my line of work as a blogger and other topics I enjoy.

You can do the same.

Podcasts are convenient. I take in a podcast while driving, showering, walking…even in bed through the night. (I did that for several months.)

So this month I want to mix things up and instead of offering ten awesomesauce blog posts you can read, I’m going to share the top 10 podcast episodes I enjoyed the most in May, 2016.

Not included are some that may not interest you. I’ve stuck to one’s for the most part that BYOB followers will either find useful or perhaps interesting or entertaining.

#9 may not be your cup o’ tea. If you don’t like philosophy or history, that’s cool. I’ll occasionally include one or two of those.

Hey, there’s still 9 others that are pretty cool.

I’m also big into the Myers-Briggs personality test. If you are curious or like that topic, check out #8.

Most of this month’s list are practical topics any blogger will find beneficial if they will do what is on the podcast 😉

Before we dive into these treats, let’s look at this month’s treat from Chef Dennis…

My shirt is getting soaked just staring at this…drool much? Snap out of it!

If you want to see what these chocolate cheesecake bars taste like go ahead and make one using this Chef Dennis recipe…then invite me over. 🙂

Alright, now let’s dive in to my favorite podcasts from last month! These are all shows I listen to regularly as time allows.

7 The Tom Woods Show – No, We Are Not Screwed

This happened to be episode No. 666 for prolific podcaster Tom Woods. So he decided to give it a positive approach and invited TK Coleman to talk about how much positive potential we have in our hands, despite the grim outlook of this year’s presidential election (U.S.). TK Coleman devotes his life to educating young people to be entrepreneurs at Praxis.

Hosted by “the Sales Lion” himself, Marcus Sheridan.

5 The James Altucher Show Ep. 165 – Dr. Ron Paul: How Voting for Yourself Creates Wealth and Freedom

4 The Digital Entrepreneur Podcast: Does Your Social Media Strategy Need a Mindset Shift?

Jerod Morris interviews the CEO of Social Fresh, Jason Keath to discuss the insights he and his team gleaned from the massive report they recently published: The Future of Social.

3 Beautiful Anarchy with Jeffrey Tucker: What We Can Learn from Rice Pudding

Tucker’s podcast format has changed and can now be found at Liberty.me. I found his earlier version of Beautiful Anarchy on iTunes and the original twenty episodes are succinct and quite good. This one has a great message for entrepreneurs: The highly successful New York City restaurant called Rice to Riches can teach us a lot about the free market, simple ideas for business (and blogging) and how meeting a need the public wants is a beautiful thing. Sometimes we don’t even know we want it until a creative entrepreneur comes along…

Side Note: This podcast is a couple of years old. But I discovered it in May, so that counts. 😉

2 Confessions of a Pink Haired Marketer Podcast: Make Better Mondays! 6 Minutes to a Happier, More Productive Week

Sonia Simone, Co-Founder of Rainmaker Digital shares her weekly (or daily) power ritual that helps her get focused and motivated. I started using it and love it.

1 The Showrunner Podcast No. 056: How to Book Engaging Podcast Interviews

Ever since Jerod Morris dropped in for this fabulous interview, I’ve become a big fan of this podcast. This particular episode stood out for me in May but there’s lots of good stuff in their episode archives for those interested in starting their own podcast.
