This is Issue III, Edition I of the Blogger Success Bulletin.

What a fun summer. People from all over the globe are stepping out in faith and taking the plunge walking on the waters of the internet with new WordPress websites.

How are they doing it? By focusing on my blog setup guide and ignoring the storms around them.

In July, 250 people started blogging right here with Build Your Own Blog.

Were you one of them? Say hi in the comments and let me know!

In this issue, you’re going to meet three women bloggers off to great starts! As you read, my hope is that their story will inspire your story.

Who knows, maybe one day you will be featured in the next issue of the BSB?

I’m rooting for you.

Okay, let’s now meet these three women bloggers off to a strong start…

Women Bloggers Off to Successful Start – Meet Them & Check Out Their Website!

Blogger: Sofia Vilarreal

Follow Sofia as she pirouettes from one dream to the next–gracefully dancing from Mexico to New York City with her trusted Frenchie Bonbon.

Her personal artistic flair is evident throughout the website.

When asked why she had a desire to blog, here is what she said :

“What helped me become a blogger was the idea that each person is unique and lives in a world of its own, by this I mean that everyone has a different perspective over so many different topics that it’s simply incredible that we can share it through this platform to basically anywhere around the world.

I’ve been using it to challenge myself, to open up and get creative, but mainly to speak my mind. As soon as you write with your heart, with the heart is received. It’s work from within, and I’m having a lot of fun!

I feel very happy every time someone reads me, it’s very fulfilling to know that you inspire others just by sharing an experience or an opinion about something. I really recommend that if someone has something to share that’s worth it and will help others, please by all means do it.”

Sometimes, a simple hand of help is all a person needs to get started.

“Your site was a great help for me to realize how easy it was to start blogging, following your easy steps made everything happen very smoothly and actually very fast. It didn’t give me time to give up on the idea,” Sophia said by email.

Her blog is a good example of how to use photography in your design and how there are no creative rules you must follow to express yourself.

Well done, Sofia!

Blogger: Stephanie

Blog: Steph’s Click – Life As a Young Mom & Everyday Struggles

She’s a daughter, mother and fiancé, and she has stories to tell.
You see, Stephanie views her daily struggles as “amazing stories” that can help other young adults close to her age (22) find “guidance and inspiration.”

I think that’s an amazing mindset for someone born just one score and two years ago.

This is why she gravitated to blogging…

“What encouraged me to become a blogger was that I have so many amazing stories to tell. But my problem is that I don’t have anyone to share my stories with. I do have an amazing little family that are all ears and love to listen….But I wanted something more! I wanted to connect with others

I have always had a passion about blogging and writing even in school. I just had no clue on where to start.

One night after stumbling across I dedicated myself to sitting down and going through the step by step guide, watching every video, and taking in suggestions as i go. I can finally see my hard earned blog come together.

I would like to thank Matt for creating because he gave me all the motivation and structure that I needed to accomplish my dream of becoming a blog owner and writer.

Now I look forward to writing my next post. I spend my days thinking about what I’m gonna blog about next. One tip that really helped me was that if you have something to say then say it! Just be yourself. That’s what makes every blog unique. Its like you can actually hear the voice of the person behind the post and when that happens it makes me just wanna keep reading.

I’m new at this whole blogging experience….But I’m loving every minute of it.

“Thanks so much for the badge. I am proudly showing it off on my blog :).” — Stephanie

Here is the badge she is referencing:

Stephanie is off to a wonderful start. She’s not letting any excuses hold her back. I won’t be surprised to one day see her at the top of the “mommy blogger” niche.

Blogger: Erin

Blog: At Momma’s House

The title of her website sounds like a “mommy blog”, but when you visit, you quickly discover there’s more going on here.

Erin describes herself as a “self awareness junkie.” She knows who she is and what she’s dealing with–bipolar and BDD.

Personal transparency fills her blog for this reason: her site is about helping other moms with a mental illness lead a healthy productive life despite their diagnosis.

Erin got started and she’s enjoying the journey. “I started blogging because as a stay at home parent I wanted to work at something and this gives me the freedom to do that plus talk about a subject that I love to talk about. I feel I am doing something I love and that is worth doing even though it’s a struggle at first.”

One of the reasons why Erin dove in to blogging is because she knew Build Your Own Blog was going to be there for her along the way.

“Matt, you are, and continue to be a big part of my help and support team and I take my hat off to you.”

Thanks, Erin.

BSB Blog Tips Review

Before closing this issue of the Blogger Success Bulletin, here is a concise list of the blogging tips for beginners found in this issue.

1. Blogging empowers those who want to find people who need help in some way.

2. Choosing a blog niche you are passionate about is a good place to start.

3. Be yourself on your blog.

4. Starting a blog is easier than you might think.

I can see a lot of potential growth with these three blogs. Don’t you?

As a dad, I know the two mom’s here (Stephanie and Erin) have plenty to do in their daily schedule. I guess it is true, if you want to get something done, have a busy person do it. 🙂

Congrats to all three ladies. You have done the hardest part–starting.

Now go take over the blogosphere!

I like that you take time to feature smaller bloggers, Matt. Not a lot of influential guys like yourself are doing that.

    1. Matthew Loomis says:    •   4 years Author

      Hi Brent,
That’s really what this website is all about…helping newbies get started and growing over the long term.
We all can use some encouragement now and then.

    1. Matthew Loomis says:    •   4 years Author

Erin, I like your personal description as a “self awareness junkie.” That’s a huge plus for a blogger. 🙂

Your kind words mean a lot to me. This is why I do what I do.

Three interesting women featured today. Each one has a clear direction in her blog. Thanks for giving each one a boost! I know they will appreciate it. I certainly did. You have been a tremendous help to me and to other bloggers. I admire your generous spirit.

    1. Matthew Loomis says:    •   4 years Author

Dr. Rin, it’s good to see other bloggers like yourself who have been at it awhile reading the BSB and enjoying the profiles. You were in the first issue, if I recall. 🙂
I’m happy to be of additional help and support for you this next year. Let’s keep rolling!

Cheers to your retirement blog niche success.

  5. Adrienne says:    •   4 years

    Hey Matthew,

What a great way to highlight some of the people who have successfully created their blogs based on the information you have here on your site. I know it’s no easy task when you have no clue what you’re doing and finding not only simple information that will help someone but also advice that they’ll get by just asking you.

I love that you’re highlighting women here and I know they are all probably pretty thrilled they bumped into you.

Great share and I hope many more will find your site and enter this wonderful world of blogging.

    1. Matthew Loomis says:    •   4 years Author

      Hi Adrienne,

I’m glad you like the BSB! 🙂 This is a fun monthly and like you said, these are all folks who started with me and then I can introduce them to other fantastic blog coaches like yourself.

I cannot feature everyone each month who started a blog, for one it would be way too long, but also, those featured are not only technically started, they’re off to strong beginnings and are putting in the work.

If more folks get off to a strong start, I’ll be happy to feature even more folks each month.

They will need to say hi to me though with a quick email and point out to me what they’re doing so I can check it out and then profile them.

Cheers to more bloggers all over the world,

  10. Phoenicia says:    •   4 years

Thank you for sharing Matt. The three bloggers you focus on are amazing. Each has something unique to bring to their audience.

No matter how little time we think we have, we can fit in blogging if we are truly led to do it.

I love nothing better than to put my thoughts onto paper.

    1. Matthew Loomis says:    •   4 years Author

      Hi Phoenicia,
Always good to hear from you. I’m glad you enjoy this monthly and once these new bloggers get launched, I recommend they check out your blog to help them get organized. 🙂
What you said about putting thoughts on paper is so profound. That’s been known for ages, yet only a percentage of humankind practices it.
      Those who do are blessed.
      Have a fantastic week,
